Metalbox Tin found in Norway

Posted by Olly March 7th, 2016

I’m always interested to hear about Metalbox tins cropping up in interesting places, so when Monica from Norway emailed me, I just had to get it on the blog to share.

She found this tin and reached out to us to find out if it held any value – i’m not sure it does but its certainly a pretty tin.ย Thanks for the submission, Monica ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have a Metalbox tin and are located around the world we would love to hear from you!

Imperial Industries Club Tin – Made at Metalbox?

Posted by Olly November 9th, 2015

We had an email from a fan in Australia, who sent in a picture of this beautiful embossed metal container;

ImpIndcase2 (1)

He asks;

“Hello,

Attached is a photo of a metal container I found at my mothers in Australia. I believe it may have been made by Barringer, Wallis & Manners in the 1930s.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Regards

Bob”

If anyone can help Bob confirm if the tin is from Barringer, Wallis and Manners from around 1930 – please comment below! ๐Ÿ™‚

We were contacted by a Mr Hughes who sent in old photos that included his family members, all who worked at the Mansfield metalbox from 1927 to 1980.

Do you recognise anyone in the photos? If so, comment below! ๐Ÿ™‚
