Imperial Industries Club Tin – Made at Metalbox?

Posted by Olly November 9th, 2015

We had an email from a fan in Australia, who sent in a picture of this beautiful embossed metal container;

ImpIndcase2 (1)

He asks;

Attached is a photo of a metal container I found at my mothers in Australia. I believe it may have been made by Barringer, Wallis & Manners in the 1930s.

Any assistance is appreciated.

If anyone can help Bob confirm if the tin is from Barringer, Wallis and Manners from around 1930 – please comment below! 🙂

We were contacted by a Mr Hughes who sent in old photos that included his family members, all who worked at the Mansfield metalbox from 1927 to 1980.

Do you recognise anyone in the photos? If so, comment below! 🙂

Mansfield Metalbox Watercolour Painting

Posted by Olly March 27th, 2015

DSCF1155Had a submission from a really talented local artist;

I am a local Artist and I have a oil painting of the Metal Box factory. I painted this picture just as it was being demolished and made a few quick watercolours on the scene that lead to this picture.
The painting is on canvas measuring 30×40 inch and has been exhibited, I was wondering if maybe someone might be interested in it?

If anyone would like to buy the print then you need to email
